Opera Director Kerem Hillel needed a website that presented his work with clarity, confidence, and professional credibility, without distracting from the artistic depth of his projects. The goal was a portfolio that speaks for itself: quiet, precise, and focused on the essential. Together with Trang Studios, we created a digital home that reflects the way Kerem works on stage – structured, contemporary, and unmistakably his.

Kerem is an opera and theatre director working across documentary theatre, stage adaptations, puppetry, and site-specific performance. His productions combine classical foundations with experimental approaches, often developed in collaboration with leading venues like TD Berlin and Staatstheater Darmstadt. To support this work, the website needed to present his artistic identity clearly, while giving visitors – theatres, partners, and commissioners – a fast way to understand who he is, what he does, and what he’s working on next.
From the first briefing, Kerem was clear about one thing: the website should foreground the art, not the interface. This led to a streamlined, minimal layout designed by Trang Studios – typography-driven, calm, and open. We then translated that concept into a clean WordPress build that loads fast, feels effortless, and keeps the focus entirely on the productions. To make project updates as easy as possible, we developed a custom PHP-based WordPress plugin. Kerem can now manage his Upcoming Works and Past Works in a simple, structured interface – no technical knowledge required. Adding a new production takes less than a minute, including titles, dates, venues, short descriptions, and tags such as documentary, adaptation, puppetry, or site-specific. This system ensures the website stays current as his work evolves, without ever compromising the design.
Kerem’s portfolio is active and project-driven. The website was built to showcase this ongoing momentum. The Upcoming Works page acts as his professional front window. The Works archive documents past productions. The About Me page gives a concise, accessible biography. The Contact page offers direct communication pathways for theatres, collaborators, and press. Every part of the structure supports Kerem’s core professional needs: visibility, clarity, and credibility.
Kerem’s site is not a one-off build – it is a long-term foundation for his directing career. As new productions are announced, collaborations emerge, and his profile expands, the website is ready to grow with him. Its structure is flexible, easy to update, and aligned with the minimalist aesthetic that defines his visual identity. This aligns with how we work at PSWD: clear structures, calm execution, and digital tools that support real creative momentum. The result is a portfolio that feels consistent, professional, and fully aligned with Kerem’s artistic voice.
“I had my website built by this team and I'm very happy with the collaboration. They work reliably, clearly, and quickly, and they have a great sense of design and structure. Changes were implemented without any hassle, and the process was transparent and pleasant. I recommend their work without reservation.”
